A few years ago it seemed like my skin decided to go absolutely haywire all at once. My acne started flaring up almost daily, and my oily skin went into overdrive. Before I had the luxury of tapping into my colleagues of the beauty editor world, my first and primary expert was always my mom. Even now, she’s still my soundboard for when I want the scoop on a new skincare product, and don’t want to bother deep-diving into online reviews. Quite simply, she’s extremely into caring for her skin and making sure it’s in tip-top shape. As a result of her well-curated routine, it’s not uncommon for people to mistake her for someone decades younger.
I have already shared her meticulous face-plumping and glow-inducing regimen here at Who What Wear before, and the response was immense. After receiving so many comments requesting a follow-up, I asked my mother to … Read the rest
Listen, I’m not asking for sympathy, but it is hard to resist online shopping when it’s literally part of your job description. It’s especially tempting when new pieces are as good as the selection that I’ve curated from Everlane and Madewell for this story. The two retailers have truly outdone themselves this summer and are offering a seemingly endless number of great new designs.
At the top of my list is Madewell’s latest collaboration with cult swimwear brand Solid&Striped. The crochet-trimmed bikini, gingham one-piece, and frilly swimsuit are truly too good to resist. At Everlane, the sweatshorts are one of my favorite new arrivals because of how versatile and comfortable they are. Scroll down to shop my favorite just-in items.
I recently developed a deep appreciation for sweet scents. Despite having been a hardcore devotee of woody, more masculine scents for most of my adult life, the singer Rihanna inspired me to branch out. Needless to say, I couldn’t be happier with the decision to expand my repertoire of rich-smelling perfumes. In preparation for summer, though, I’ve been feeling a pull toward my old, familiar scent habits. I’ve been craving something crisp and fresh that just exudes warm weather realness. Instantly, Tom Ford’s Costa Azzurra ($134) comes to mind.
I bought this decadent scent as a gift for my fiancé years ago, but I’ve been known to steal spritzes of it for myself. There’s something about its notes of juniper, herbs, green notes, oak, and warm woods that remind me of Ryan Gosling’s character from Crazy, Stupid, Love. I just imagine suave menthat may or may not return your texts … Read the rest
There are new swim trends that bubble up each year before summer, but this time around there’s one that’s too big to ignore: three-piece swimsuits. Already spotted in countless TikTok videos, the trend has gone viral and is poised to be the biggest swimsuit trend this summer. What exactly are three-piece swimsuits, though? Like the name suggests, it goes beyond just a bikini with an extra coordinating item that completes the look.
Matching skirts are especially popular pieces to add to a bikini to tap into the trend, but we’re also seeing everything from pants and shorts to shirts and hats, which have been finished in the same fabric. This is yet another cool way to wear the matchy-matchy outfits that have been popularized recently, especially among the Gen Z set.
I personally love the idea of having an easy item to throw over a swimsuit to transition from a … Read the rest
For the first time in what seemed like forever, one of my friends announced that she was about to go on her first post-pandemic date. Of course, a flurry of outfit suggestions ensued over group text, but it felt good to talk IRL about outfits that, for once, didn’t include a pair of sweatpants. In the gradual progression toward pre-lockdown life, I’m sure you, too, are starting to think about your social calendar. If a date is one of the events included in your plans, I have just the perfect looks for you.
Even if you’re a veteran of the dating scene, there’s always the conundrum about how fancy your outfit should be: Are jeans too casual? Will heels make me look overdressed? To make matters even more complicated, there’s definitely added pressure when it comes to a first date. You’re meeting someone you vaguely know (or probably never met … Read the rest

Laura Modi’s journey to beginning Bobbie, the only female-founded and mom-led organic infant formula company in the United States, is a quite personal one. It was 2016, and Modi had just given birth to her first daughter and was faced with the unanticipated reality that she—like many women—could not sustainably breastfeed. Wandering through the aisles of her local pharmacy in search of a suitable formula, Modi was stunned by the lack of options and quickly realized that the market needed a serious update. Thus, … Read the rest
New Yorkers have some of the best summertime style around, and so far, they have proven that although their social lives have changed this season, their style has remained just as strong as ever. We’ve now spent months wearing leggings, sweatpants, and anything with an elastic waistband, but thanks to these stylish NYC girls, we are finally encouraged to get back into the groove of wearing anything but.
Ahead, I have rounded up some of my favorite NYC fashion girls and pulled out a selection of seven outfits I’ve noticed more than one New Yorker wearing at home this summer season. From easy matching sets to white summer dresses to wear, yes, even inside, these women are setting the standard for summer style higher than ever, and to be honest, we can’t thank them enough.
Your shoe choice more or less determines how comfortable you’ll remain throughout the day. Regardless of how cozy your clothing selection is, if your pair of flats or sandals pinch ever so slightly, your comfort level will swiftly start to decline. In an effort to avoid such discomfort, we often tap podiatrists to shed insight on those current footwear silhouettes that won’t cause as much pain.
Today, given that many are spending more time at home, we wanted to zero in on the best (and worst) shoes to wear around the house. We turned to Benjamin Tehrani, DPM, of Kings Point Foot & Ankle in Los Angeles and creator of Nerve Assist for expert tips on the common styles that are okay and those that could cause some harm to your overall foot health. In addition, given that many of us do spend a lot of time walking barefoot around … Read the rest
There are two Kendall Jenners, sartorially speaking: Kendall Jenner in New York and Kendall Jenner in L.A. and everywhere else. Both Kendall Jenners are supremely stylish, but New York Kendall is especially chic and sophisticated. It’s very apparent that she’s going for a tailored look every time she’s visited the Big Apple in recent history, opting for pieces from designers like The Row and Frankie Shop. If you’re looking for some chic back-to-business outfit ideas, she’s your girl.
Now for an observation. Jenner was in New York last weekend and almost every outfit she wore included a pair of baggy pleated trousers. No jeans, no dresses—just trousers. In particular, we’ve seen khaki pants in this style experience a major resurgence as of late, and Jenner clearly approves, given a The Row look she wore around the city. And as far as shoes go, the only pairs Jenner seemed to pack … Read the rest
