I Found Cheap Versions of This Season’s Biggest Bikini Trends, Thank Me Later

Posted on April 16, 2021 by Adiantku

Each day we’re inching closer and closer to beach weather, so you know what the means– yup, bikini shopping galore. Even on the West Coast, where it’s usually already hot enough to confidently stroll out in shorts, is going through a weird, mid-spring cold front this week–but that hasn’t stopped me from obsessively shopping for new bikinis (it’s the new Los Angeleno in me). It feels a bit contradictory that a tiny piece of fabric can cost so much, but I’m sure you’ve already noticed that bikinis can be expensive. A non-designer bikini can even set you back $200 and up (especially if you buy the top and bottom separately). But as much as I love a Hot girl summer, I prefer to keep it affordably hot. In the interest of everyone’s pockets, I’ve gathered all of the best cheap swimsuits, featuring a few of the summer’s biggest bikini trends.

My Friends Trust Me for Style Advice—I'm Into These 34 Chic Items Now

Posted on April 15, 2021April 15, 2021 by Adiantku

As a fashion editor, I’ve found that my friends routinely use me as a trusted source for sartorial guidance. Basically, I’m often one of the first people they text when they’re on the fence about a particular item or want help identifying the latest trend to try.

One of my very good friends recently asked me for advice on some of the best oversize blazers because she wanted to add some relaxed tailoring into her wardrobe. I sent over three options (including this $75 Nordstrom pick). I also sent her a few other spring items I’m loving that I knew she’d be into. I thought you might be interested in some of said pieces, so I’m sharing the items below (the first four on the list). I also scrolled through some of my favorite sites to uncover a smattering of other chic items that piqued my interest.

With all that … Read the rest

Posted on April 14, 2021April 14, 2021 by Adiantku

It’s been a while, but there are actually things and events worth getting dressed for again. We might not be in stiletto and ballgown territory just yet, but might I say it feels so good to see that trips to the grocery store and excursions for bulk-sized toilet paper aren’t the only outings filling my agenda. Pieces that didn’t get much play last year like my leather pants and blazers are now getting a second wind thanks to post-lockdown life, but looking at my closet overall, I’m realizing there’s much to be desired. With so many pressing things happening in the world, it’s fair to say that rehauling my wardrobe hasn’t been a main priority.

But, the spirit of summer has a way of reinvigorating our style senses, and now I’m thoroughly committed to revamping my warm-weather wardrobe. To get out of my style slump I’ve been shopping for statement … Read the rest

11 Iconic 2000s Hairstyles That Could Still Fly in 2021

Posted on April 11, 2021 by Adiantku

The 2000s are back, baby. As you may recall, it was an era defined by low-rise pants, fuzzy pink everything, and AOL instant messenger. (Do you remember your first screen name or are you normal?) Some of the most iconic and still-talked-about fashion moments of all time happened during this period and we’re still feeling the reverb to this day. Another area of excellence from the 2000s that still informs our lives? The hairstyles.

From chunky highlights to braided antennas and, of course, spiky buns galore, the go-to hairstyles from this time were truly something special. And the queens of the cool girls like Hilary Duff, Raven-Symoné, the Olsen twins, and Jennifer Lopez (yes, she’s been killing it for decades!) were serving up daily inspiration for executing all the crimps, curls, and colors.

Wait, This Tank Top Is $14 But Looks Super Expensive

Posted on April 10, 2021 by Adiantku

Our editor in chief, Kat Collings, recently shared with us a special gem she is wearing on repeat at the moment. Naturally, we wanted to highlight the staple for you as well. The piece in question? This $14 ribbed tank from Amazon.

The Kamissy piece looks quite expensive (honestly, could be designer) because of the modern, higher cut and the ribbed fabric. The color is also noteworthy in the of-the-moment beige hue. The beauty of this trendy basic is that it’s highly versatile and could act as a base layer for a range of ensembles this spring and summer. In fact, Collings actually sent over a few photos showcasing how she’s styling her favorite tank.

Intrigued? Wonderful. Keep scrolling to learn more about why this expensive-looking tank is top-notch. If you go a bit farther, you’ll also find more affordable tank tops (under $30) that could also be of interest. … Read the rest

Welcome To Cardigan Season: 29 Under $150, Light & Easy Styles I’m Shopping Now

Posted on April 7, 2021April 7, 2021 by Adiantku

It was a long road but we’ve made it: welcome to the official start of cardi season. Before you start thinking about the thick, chunky cardigans everyone typically gravitates towards at the start of fall, this here is a bit different. We’re finally at the point in spring when by the time you leave the house, it’s an entirely different temperature from when the sun goes down. Basically, the weather is indecisive AF, so that’s where a lightweight cardigan comes in. Consider akin to a summer jacket–appropriate for every stage of wacky spring weather that comes your way.  Lately, thinner cardigans have been making big waves on our feeds where we’ve noticed them styled several different ways–from draped over the shoulders to paired in a matching set or (our favorite way) simply worn buttoned up as a top. There’s plenty of versatility with this piece, which is why it’s become
